What are my top 5 TV shows all time favorite? Well, this shouldn’t be hard by now. I know, I know, I mostly talked about anime & manga. Yes, those were the things that I consumed most. But besides that, I also liked watching a good TV show.
I don’t know how many I have seen in my life. I’ve never counted them. But I do know the ones that stuck with me. And from them, I have a top 5 until now.
What are my top 5 TV shows all time favorite?
So, which are my top 5 tv shows that made it to my favorites list? It’s rather easy. Like the saying goes: I can count ’em on the fingers of my hand.
They go from drama, to sci-fi, to fantasy tooo… read and find out for yourself.
Disclaimer: the list is made by the order in which I saw them. So, let’s start.
TV Show no. 5: House MD
Yes, yes. I know. Rather cheesy to some. But I liked it. Not only Hugh Laurie and the other actors in the cast played to absolute perfection in my honest opinion, but the plot! Oh, the plot!
Yes, you could say it got repetitive in the ways in which House always used to solve its medical cases, but in my honest opinion, that was the second plot.
The main plot was the experiences Houses, as a character goes through. Yes, he was a rather cynical guy. Yes, he had problems with admitting his real feelings, dealing with them or downright turned off every ounce of humanity he had. But it was what it made it great to begin with in my opinion.
It were those delicate subtleties of the character(s) that made you want to return to House. Yes, as I said, maybe you got bored how he dealt with the medical part. Patient comes in, House gives a diagnostic. House finds out he wronged the diagnostic. Starts working towards giving a new one. Patient almost dies while he couldn’t find a rightful one. But just as all hope seemed lost, here he finds out the right diagnostic and saves the day.
Yes, that part was repetitive. Almost like an overusing of the same tactic. But it was also what made it fun and interesting. Because from where did he get all his right diagnostics? From events and situations he was put into, totally unrelated, at first.
But his weird-working mind always found a connection between what he was going through and the patient’s medical condition.
I always used to laugh how he’d let Wilson talk to himself after he had just figure something about the patient’s condition. That is after he had a confrontation with Wilson. Who was his best friend. But damned be House if he’d ever admit that.
Though he does by the end of it.
So you see, yes. House is one of my favorite TV shows of all times. I think I saw it three times by now. And to be honest, I think I’d see it a fourth time. And fifth. No questions asked.
TV Show no. 4: Fringe
I’ve asked God for a sign of forgiveness. A specific one: a white tulip
It still remains one of my favorite quotes to this day.
For those of you who don’t know, Fringe is an old sci-fi TV series dealing with subjects such as religion mixed with technology, time-travel and alternate realities.
It follows in the steps of the main character – Olivia Dunham, who is an FBI agent. After the death of her lover, things start getting really weird. She meets her dead lover in a what you call a consciousness plane. This is where Peter Bishop and Walter Bishop, his father make an entrance.
Of course, we have other main and recurring characters, but it all revolves around them.
Olivia gets to go through very paranormal, but science-explained situations, while Peter, Walter Bishop’s son is next to her.
Oh, and speaking about Walter. He’s the one playing God in this series. That’s why, it’s interesting to see that for a change, he asks God for forgiveness. That is, after trespassing some natural laws in his experiments.
But I won’t divulge much. I’ll let you guys see for yourselves.

TV Show no. 3: Game of Thrones
Okay, it’s no wonder here, right? Who doesn’t know of Game of Thrones? Despite its end, who doesn’t love Game of Thrones?
Yes, I agree. The ending was bad. Like really, really bad. Uncharacteristically bad. But besides that, where else have we seen such rich plot? And subplots? All tying-up so nicely.
Okay, I know. Most of it it’s thanks to George RR Martin. The last 2 seasons were rather sketchy compared to the first.
But if we take it as a whole, it is a masterpiece.
Cinematic wise, acting wise, effects wise.
It managed to bring to life the rich world of a Song of Ice and Fire.
Granted, things were dealt with by the end of the series in a rather disappointing way. It seems that shock value prevailed over consistency. As I keep seeing it happens in works from all kinds of fields.
But that’s another story for another day. Or better said post.
Until then, I’m glad to have been able to see such a fantastic world being brought alive by HBO team.
I miss Drogon, though! But, all good things come to an end, eventually.

TV Show no. 2: American Gods
I don’t know if I said that by now, but I’m sure that anyone who read me before knows this.
I am a simple girl. When I see fantasy, I have heart eyes.
Something that involves especially mythology and symbolism? I’m all for it.
It’s a TV show that’s still ongoing. At the moment I’m writing this at least.
Being adapted from the books written by Neil Gaiman, American Gods takes the whole god worship to a whole new level.
It’s filled with symbolism and mythology all throughout the series. Of course it is – you’d say. It’s about gods. And yes, I’ll give you that. But the way old mythology intertwines with the new one for me it’s that extra cherry on top.
It follows the steps of Shadow Moon – a guy who’s thrown in prison, just after his wife’s death. And as if that isn’t enough, he finds himself in the middle of war between the old gods and the new ones.
How does a battle between Easter God and the Media God sounds?
Intriguing? Yes, I’ll give you that. Watch for yourself and see what I’m talking about!
You’ll understand why this is among my top 5 tv shows.
TV Show no. 1: Westworld
Aaand last, but not least on my top 5 tv shows all time favorite list is none other than Westworld.
I am simply mind blown by this tv show.
Like American Gods, it’s still an ongoing series. A sci-fi series that blends together topics such as religion, technology and survival of the species, all in one world.
Or, well, in many others. But that’s for us to find out how many.
It all begins in Westworld park, which we find out to be one where humans come to discover themselves. Their true selves. All while interacting with android-like machines. In a world where they’re not judged by any authority, and they can do as they please.
Because hey, there’s no God here to peak at their sins! Or is it, though?
What does this show us about human nature though? A whole lot. About their nature, and the nature of their reality.
Absolutely astounded by season 1. Season two had me so and so.
Curious to see where season 3 leads us.
So yeah, this is kind of it. Currently this is my top.
Is there going to be any other series that breaks the top? Or will my top have to get longer?
I’m still not sure. Time will tell.
